LAS VEGAS!

After a 625 km drive yesterday from Wells, Nevada we arrived safely in Las Vegas about 4:30 pm.  We've put on 2744 kms over the past 4 days and think we'll stay here up to a week.  Lots to see and do and we're in no particular rush.  This morning laundry was the first order of the day!  Lost $7.00 at the Penny Slots in Wells - bigtime spenders!

The Nevada landscape is ever changing and our elevation changed many times.  The highest was 7200', then an average of 5800' over highway 318 and now we're at 1700' here in Vegas.  After a very cold -12 at Wells the temp this morning was 7.  Now, 11:00 am, it's 22 and overcast.  Very comfortable!
Online we found a great campsite called The Las Vegas RV Resort.  Highly recommend.  Lots of room between sites and there is a guard at the gate 24 hours a day and you have to show your parking pass to return, walking or driving.  We have a small willowish-type tree and a palm tree in our site.  About 400 sites and well spaced.  Everything is spotless and the staff is extremely friendly. 

We didn't forget Remembrance Day, but couldn't watch any televised programs as they don't have TV here.  Haven't had TV since we left Vernon September 3rd and honestly don't miss it.
