Amazing! Our house sold a month ago, home furnishings are being packed and stored and Gord and I are dreaming about retirement and travel. A month's stay with each of our daughter's families followed by our first trip south for the winter. September in Malakwa area with the Vandenbergs, October in Victoria area with the Gellings. Our retirement home at Desert Cove has been rented long term by wonderful people, Myrna and Roger so we are set.
August we will move into our RV and camp at the Swan Lake RV Resort here in Vernon. Gord works until the end of August as Honda will be short staffed because of holidays. Lots of changes ahead.
Yesterday, July 3, 2011 we visited Angie, Trev, Matthew and Amy. Amy has been home from B.C. Children's Hospital for a week, post-hernia operation and doing very well. Mom/Gramma/Great Gramma Cottrell, came with us and we all enjoyed lunch sitting under the gazebo. Pre and post visit we checked out three nearby campsites with the KOA being the most expensive. The Cedars closes on September 15th and the Homestead camp was for sale as well as partly flooded, although they did have campers, no one was available for any info.
