Retirement Day for Gord!

August 31, 2011

An hour has past since Gord retired and he is now installing a new blind in the bedroom of the RV.  So much for quitting work!  The old blind fell apart and off the wall yesterday.

We have spent the past month living here at Swan Lake RV Campground at #95 which has an amazing view and open space before the bullrushes of Swan Lake.  The month has gone by quickly and we have enjoyed  our time here.  While Gord worked his last month at Sunshine Honda I swam, played water volleyball, walked the dogs, read many books and ran around doing all the necessary chores of daily life.

Moved out of our home on Agassiz Road on August 5th with no regrets and no longing to look back.  Our "goods" are all safely stored away and we are ready to hit the road on Saturday.  All the way to Blind Bay near Sorrento.  Looking forward to seeing Rhonda and Jade (Keith is up north at Tungston - look it up!) for the September long weekend.

The last two weeks we've spent many good evenings with good friends and family sharing dinner in the confines of our small dining room!  Wasps were a nuisance outside.  You are all very special to us and we will miss you over the next seven or eight months.  Love you all.

Colleen and Gord
