Geocaching & Three Valley Gap

September 18, 2011

Found "one second falls" geocache site with daughter Angie and Granddaughter Amy.  The falls can be seen for one second only as you drive by!  The real name is Kay Falls and after finding the trailhead by the road, we hiked for ten minutes to a beautiful 300' waterfall.  Caught Pogo just before she planned to swim in and down the falls!  The cache was behind a tree, down a hole and beneath an overhanging rock.  Amy was thrilled to find dog stickers for herself and a dinasaur for her brother Matthew.  Picnic lunch in the sun at Three Valley Lake was fun with Pogo enjoying a safe swim.

Spent Friday in Vernon doing errands, visiting Mom and buying groceries. We spent the night with Gord's sister, Lorna and husband Herb.  Lots of laughs and an excellent meal.  Thanks L & H.  Dashed off the next morning at 10:00 to meet up with the "unclub" members for coffee followed by a drive back to Noah's Ark with those interested.  The "unclub" is a group of friends who own or used to own British cars.  Friends Sandy & John Gallant and Terry and Emma Muir joined us as far as Moose Mulligan's Pub in Sicamous for a late lunch and then turned back for various appts in Vernon.

We made an emergency stop at Angie's to do a load of laundry as Pogo had thrown up over everything lying on the back seat.  Fortunately the seat itself was spared!  First time she has ever done that in the car.
