Labor Day Weekend at Blind Bay, BC

Three beautiful, sunny days in Blind Bay.  Hiked into Balmoral Park for a few hours one morning and then taught Rhonda and Jade the fine art of geocaching.  Found four caches, although one remained elusive due to a change in the highway.  Jade did all the treasure exchanging and now is the proud owner of a unicorn, a sheaf of wheat pin, and a few other trinkets.  Keith has to find his GPS!

Gord, myself and the dogs, Saba and Pogo went off on our own on Sunday and found three more caches including Wild Rose Beach Park which we later discovered that Rhonda and Jade had never been to before.  The dogs, well Pogo, enjoyed a couple of swims in Shusway Lake and later Gord and I were treated to a great fajito dinner at the Cottrell's.

First day of Grade 7 for Jade so we walked partway to the bus stop with her.  Rhonda left for work at the Post Office at 6:00 am, but had a short shift so we were able to say goodbye just before we headed for Malakwa at 9:30 a.m.    Thanks so much for a fun, relaxing time, Jade and Rhonda!  See you next time Keith!
